My Story

I am originally from Poughkeepsie, New York, but was raised in a small town in Texas known as Southlake. Here is where I found my love for sound design and engineering.

My passion for sound came from my love for music. I am a classically trained pianist who found beauty in the way certain tone patterns made fragrant, beautiful sounds. I was captivated by putting together notes and volume to tell a story using only sound. Eventually, I was thrusted into the world of theater, and fell in love with the technical aspects that go into sound engineering and design. I discovered the ways sound could evoke different emotions, persuade, and push the story along, just through amplification and effect. This led me down the path towards pursuing a life in the world of sound — to captivate the audience the way I once was (and still am).

I began my "career" in sound in middle school, where I ran audio/visuals for our school's musicals, which took me all the way to college. My high school focused on developing multidisciplinary technical skills. Here is where I gained confidence in carpentry and basic backstage audio work.

My pursuits eventually led me to New York City via Pace University, where I am finishing earning my BFA in Production and Design for Stage and Screen at the SANDS College for the Performing Arts. Here, I have been able to hone in my designs to what I find to be mine. My design work focuses on the deep thematic matter of the story while finding space to add new innovation through technology or experimentation in standards of practice. I find myself inspired by queer spaces and culture, being part of it myself, along with strong thematic shows. My technical work has also been guided towards expertise as I learn more about the world of audio/visuals. I approach technical work with a strong work ethic, go-getter mindset, and the preparedness to act swiftly.

Work at Pace includes: Pumpernickel (A1), Firehawks (A1), Dance Nation (Sound Designer), Rent (A1), Zeus IV (Sound Designer), Judgment at Nuremberg (Sound Designer & A1)*

Outside of Pace, I enjoy spending time with my family and my cat, exploring the city with headphones on and jamming out to new styles of music, playing video games, and cooking! My work is deeply rooted in myself and my experience so having the time to recharge and find inspiration is important to me.
